Glenmorangie The Original Aged 10 Years is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky that is known for its smooth and fruity taste. It is made from malted barley that has been carefully selected and mashed with water from the Tarlogie Springs, located near the Glenmorangie distillery in Tain, Scotch Whiskey. The mash is then fermented using Glenmorangie’s unique strain of yeast, which produces a complex and fragrant flavor profile. After fermentation, the whisky is distilled twice in the distillery’s copper pot stills, which are some of the tallest in Scotch Whiskey. This unique shape allows for maximum interaction between the whisky and the copper, resulting in a smooth and refined taste. The whisky is then aged for a minimum of 10 years in American oak casks that have been previously used to age bourbon. This aging process gives the whisky its characteristic golden color and rich, creamy texture. During the aging process, the whisky also takes on subtle notes of vanilla, toffee, and citrus, which complement its fruity and floral flavors.
